About the Position: To serve as the primary point of contact to the squadron commander/director for all administrative support programs.
Duties
Assist in the management of all administrative support program functions.
Responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and deposition of required administrative reports and other correspondence.
Conduct reviews and briefings on all facets of management functions with recommended courses of action for resolving problems.
Serve as the point of contact for both civilian and military position utilization.
Review requests for military and civilian fills, requests for civilian over hires, and all projected movements of authorizations.
Assist in making arrangements for command sponsored events ensuring proper protocol is followed.
Serv as the organizational point of contact and liaison with the personnel flight on military and civilian personnel issues.
Determine the necessary steps to perform the full range of administrative functions associated with personnel assignments, promotions, and performance evaluations.
Monitor military personnel action requests, track personnel, manpower, and training transactions as documentation flows through the office and provide status reports to management.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a Tier 1 security investigation.

- This position is required to work uncommon tours of duty hours such as, on-call, working either fixed or rotating shifts, evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes directly assists in the management of all administrative support program functions, assists in planning for and coordinating the implementation and compliance for procedural requirements, and the performance of administrative functions associated with the supervision of military and civilian employees (i.e., coordinating personnel assignments, promotions, and performance evaluation products, etc.). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
