You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (APPSW) in the ADMINISTRATION AND RESOURCE DIVISION in the of HQ US MARINE CORPS.

Duties

You will perform end-user requests for applications to determine the validity of the requirements. You will prepare testing and implementation plans. You will develop web/portal sites and database applications to meet customer requirements. You will provide support, in the preparation for, and in the conduct of Information Systems Coordinators (ISC) meetings, and other instructional technical briefs. You will prepare system documentation for complex applications in accordance with agency standards.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Microsoft Power Platform Developer Certification.
  • This is an obligated position. The former incumbent has return rights to this position under PL 86-585.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing support for an operational local are network, applications development, end-user hardware, end-user support, for equipment and software on information technology systems AND analyzing functional and technical requirements in order to ensure mission objective are met.
