About the Position: This position is under the Madigan Army Medical Center Office. Located in Tacoma, Washington.
Duties
Maintain the medical center's access control systems.
Record personal, telephone, and radio messages and instructions involving emergencies, complaints, violations, accidents, and requests for information and/or assistance.
Perform routine and random communications checks with MAMC Guard Force.
Serve as dispatcher and answer all phone calls on the Provost Marshal 24/7 phone line.
Perform administrative tasks such as; files maintenance, data base maintenance, and general administrative housekeeping operation.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
- In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Emergency-Essential".
- This position MAY require shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
- This position MAY require rotating shifts.
- This position is an Inclement Weather Essential position.
- In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.

General Experience: One year of general experience. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled, such as, answering phone calls and utilizing automated systems to record information.
OR
Education: Two years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or
technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of by 60. Add the two percentages.
