About the Position: This position is located at the Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center (JMTC)
Duties
Planning, installation, and inspection of industrial plant equipment (IPE).
Responsible for maintenance of security, safety, and environmental compliance at the worksite.
Develop drawings utilizing computer aided drafting (CAD) software for minor construction projects, utilities, and facility infrastructure.
Maintain visual, verbal, written documentation, and communication
Prepare and execute project plans and provide project status updates to management.
**These duties are described at the full performance level (GS-11). The GS-8, GS-9 and GS-10 are developmental leading to such performance.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

Qualifications
Position may be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 13 months. Term appointments may be extended beyond of six (6) years, up to eight(8) years. With DoD approval, Term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years.
Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Term appointment will be appointed/converted into a Term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position

GS-08 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in the planning, installation and inspection of Industrial Plant Equipment (IPE) to support efficient Lean manufacturing processes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
GS-09 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes serving as a member of a team that plans, installs and inspects Industrial Plant Equipment (IPE) to support efficient Lean manufacturing processes; inspecting equipment to ensure compliance with the contract specification. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08).
GS-10 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes plan, install and inspect Industrial Plant Equipment (IPE) to support efficient Lean manufacturing processes; inspect equipment to ensure compliance with the contract specification; develop drawings, such as foundations or layouts, using Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) to minimize negative impact to production. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
GS-11 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes plan, install and inspect complex Industrial Plant Equipment (IPE) to support efficient Lean manufacturing processes; inspect equipment to ensure compliance with the contract specification; develop drawings, such as foundations or layouts, using Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) to minimize negative impact to production; ability to communicate clearly and concisely to convey information to command staff. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).
