Duties
Serves as the key executive assistant and primary administrative support to the U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC) Commanding General (CG) and USARPAC Command Group.
Liaisons between the Command Group senior leaders, Pacific Headquarters staff, and Major Subordinate Element (MSE) members regarding administrative management matters.
Provides support to the Command Group on all issues to the coordination, integration, and synchronization of USARPAC staff actions, events, and members of the Command Group.
Provides advice to the CG on the integration, coordination, and execution of information and tasks in support of staff actions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- May be required to work irregular hours, to include planned and unplanned overtime.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience GS-11: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with planning, organizing, coordinating, and controlling the overall administrative operations for senior level executive officials of an organization; reviewing, proofing, and distributing executive level documents and correspondence prior to the General Officer or equivalent levels signature, to ensure compliance with the command's policies; managing calendars and administrative functions; and coordinating and reconciling travel (e.g. flights, hotel) for a senior level officer or equivalent level position. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
