Duties

This position is located under the Office of Field Operations, Resource Management Branch located anywhere in the United States. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an expert advisor and consultant to the supervisor, Deputy and Division Chief, Deputy Assistant Directors (DADs) and Assistant Director (AD).

To qualify for GS-14, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13. Additional Conditions of Employment: GS-14 - You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties: APPLICANTS MUST MEET 3 OUT OF 5 Providing recommendations on program effectiveness, resource issues, and other administrative concerns Develop and/or interpret polices and strategies for use in Division and Directorate programs and operations Applying management, organization, financial, and administrative principles, and a firm understanding of the ATF budget process Interact with high level officials such as executive level officials, technical specialists, division and section chiefs, officials from the Department, industry, and other government agencies Experience conducting oral/written briefings in conferences, meetings, or in office presentations.
