This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Office of Currency Manufacturing DCF. As a Program Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing operational, administrative, technical and clerical processes of the office. You will serve as the liaison between the Chief and Operations Supervisors for process updates, training procedures and policy updates. You will coordinate management services/programs and lead special projects essential to currency operations.
Duties
As a Program Analyst, you will:
Develop administrative procedures related to activities such as information processing and documentation systems for reports, correspondence, record keeping and technical presentations.
Design and develop training and development opportunities for employees in craft and non-craft roles with key subject matter interfaces.
Utilize internal consulting approaches, models, tools and practices needed to conduct needs assessments, determine root cause and develop and suggest training.
Perform periodic reviews for Bureau circular, procedure, and policy adherence.
Work closely with the Operations Manager to review, update, and/or develop new quality management system standard operating procedures and work instructions on an as-need basis; and assure that the mandatory yearly review is completed.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-13:
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service.
Specialized experience for this position includes experience:
-Using qualitative and quantitative methodologies to make data-driven decisions (e.g. Lean Six Sigma (LSS) project, Corrective Action/Preventative Action (CAPA), Auditing); AND
-Assisting with utilizing root cause analysis, such as responding to internal and external audit findings, to develop preventative or corrective action plans; AND
-Participating on a team on continuous improvement projects, such as developing an improvement plan, lean operations/cost savings, and quality improvement.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
