Duties

You will provide oversight and conducts the command O and M sustainment POM preparation and submission to Headquarters, U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). You will develop, evaluate, and defend O and M sustainment program budget execution strategies in coordination with internal staff elements, the Combat Development Directorate, and higher headquarters staffs. You will oversee matters related to the USSOCOM Strategic Planning Process (SPP) including preparation, presentation, and justification of Phase IV (resourcing phase) of the POM submission to USSOCOM. You will prepare and/or review various funding documents and procurement packages, both direct cite and reimbursable, for assigned program areas. You will provides assistance to the Budget Officer and Funds Control Analyst in the development and submission of NSWDG's O and M Budget Estimate Submissions (BES) and amended BES to USSOCOM.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final TOP SECRET SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position is subject to random counterintelligence scope polygraph examinations.
  • You may be required to travel on military or civilian aircraft and waterborne craft, deploy onboard ships, or serve at remote sites as required.
  • You may be exposed to hazardous or hostile environments and may be authorized special/danger pay as provided by the Department of State, the Office of Personnel Management, or other agency regulations.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting long range planning, programming, accounting,auditing, travel and finance operations of command funds AND providing analysis, evaluation, and recommendations in support of budget execution agenda processes.
