You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Marine and Family Programs of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will create formulation of budget and cost estimates to support plans, programs, and activities.
You will review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
You will provide tracking and control of funds for special programs.
You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices.
You will research, correlate, and summarize data and prepare to defend budget estimates.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialize experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector reviewing or evaluating financial data for budget formulation, cost estimates; and report financial obligations and expenditures.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-09:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
