This position is located within the Assistant Commandant for Acquisition (CG-9), Director of Acquisition Services (CG-92), Office of International Acquisition Programs (CG-922), Washington, DC.
Duties
The incumbent serves as a Senior Logistics Management Specialist and is the subject matter expert in FMS Follow-On Support (FOS), logistics sustainment, and federal acquisition policies and procedures related to FMS new procurement and Excess Defense Article (EDA) asset/acquisition logistics functions. Applies logistics principles in the development and acquisition of FMS FOS requirements.

Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-14, applicants must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Specialized experience should demonstrate:
Coordinating and reviewing design development and systems engineering activities affecting integrated logistics support (ILS).
Developing and implementing logistics policies, plans and programs.
Translating ILS requirements into contractual requirements.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule, C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.
Education

** Level III Acquisition Certification in Life Cycle Logistics is highly desired.
OR
Demonstrated path of coursework and experience to obtain this certification within 18 months of onboarding. Well-qualified applicants who also possess a COR certification or certifications in other career fields, particularly Program/Project Management, should be indicated.
