This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Information Technology (OIT), Enterprise Systems Solutions Group (ESSG), Division of Medicare Systems Support (DMSS).
As a Supervisory IT Specialist (Systems Analysis), GS-2210-14, you will serve as the Deputy Director, sharing responsibility with the Director, for providing leadership & executive direction over the activities of the Division.
Duties
Serves as full Deputy and "alter ego" to the Director, sharing in the management of all phases of the work of the organization.
Leads the design, development and maintenance of the division projects.
Direct the design, development and maintenance of a program plan for all ESSG/DMSS projects.
As the program expert, you will direct the development of project resources.

BASIC REQUIREMENT
You must have IT-related experience, at the GS-13 grade level in the federal government, demonstrating each of the four competencies listed:

Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
AND
In order to qualify for the GS-14, you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include:
Managing multiple projects and teams to ensure that business and technical needs are met;
Planning and organizing work activities of staff; AND
Building coalitions with stakeholders for Medicare Enrollment, Entitlement and Eligibility in order to ensure goals are accomplished.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
