About the Position: Serve as the Senior Advisor, Army Protection for the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army, Training, Readiness and Mobilization (DASA-TRM). Exercises primary responsibility for the coordination, integration and synchronization of the Army Protection Program (APP) functions.

Duties

Provide oversight of the assessment program and process for the Army Protection Program. Evaluate the effectiveness of agency wide protection programs to provide advice to senior leadership. Select/apply appropriate program evaluation and measurement techniques to determine the extent of compliance with applicable protection programs. Establish long-term strategies for protection programs. Convert protection program conceptual ideas into emerging doctrine in the form of vignettes or scenarios. Carry out special studies concerning Protection, Intelligence and/or Law Enforcement.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance.
  • This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019 and must pass urinalysis testing, as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Risk ManagementStrategic Thinking Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
