This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent will be responsible for providing a full range of warfighter engagement and staff management functions.
Duties
As a PROGRAM ANALYST at the GS-0343-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Completes and resolves capability problems through providing leadership at a number of Department of Defense Governance forums.
Directs and oversees technical and programmatic analysis of current, emerging, and planned Joint C2 capabilities.
Brief peers and superiors in a clear and articulate manner without prior preparation.
Edits the work of subordinates or peers.
Maintains continuous liaison with other Joint Staff representatives, OSD, Combatant Command, Service headquarters and interagency/multinational offices.
Promotes interchange of information on requirements, capabilities, deficiencies, and technology applications.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the 14 grade level in the Federal service:
Analyze and test activities between Joint C2 capabilities, and external Information Technology (IT) systems to ensure integration and interoperability;
Knowledge of departmental defense planning processes and procedures, including awareness of Combatant Commands and military services, structures, and missions;
Advises on capability gap identification, concept development, and requirements validation of warfighter engagement and staff management.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
