This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent is the Department of Defense lead for the development of joint mission threads and synchronization of products across Combatant Commands (CCMDs), Services, Agencies, and multinational and interagency mission partners.
Duties
As a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM ANALYST (MISSION THREAD) at the GS-0343-15 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Identifies opportunities and provides recommendations for new or improved business processes for development of mission threads and the implementation of emerging technologies to support modernization.
Develops rigorous architecture development methods to ensure integration of program procedures, policy, information products, systems, and services.
Provides results of mission thread-related studies, analyses, and evaluations to counterpart organizations to share experiences and thereby improve overall defense level planning in areas of assignment.
Develops program evaluation plans, procedures and methodology and provides results to counterpart agencies to share experiences and thereby improve overall defense level planning in areas of assignment.
Formulates and prepares analysis and assessment reports, responses to queries, justification, and background papers, draft, and staff correspondence, briefing materials, decision papers, information papers, point papers, directives, and performs routine staff work for reuse by senior DoD, Federal Government, and multinational leaders.

Qualifications
This position is being filled under DoD Modified Direct Hire Authority, Section 1109; PL, 116-92, dated 12/20/2019.
You may qualify at the GS-15 , if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Creditable specialized experience includes::
Advising on development of C2 architectures, designs, and operational support for joint missions;
Implementing policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to mission architectures, including knowledge of enterprise architectures and Joint Mission Thread/Mission Engineer Thread concepts, principles, and guidance;
Coordinating work with other agencies on issues related to the application of new concepts, principles, and standards for cross agency coordination and standardization of architectures and Joint Mission Threads;
Reviewing enterprise architecture data collection and analysis techniques to develop new methodologies for mission thread architecture products and data;
Applying project management principles, methods, and practices to lead project teams in advanced operational and system architecture design and development efforts.
