You will serve as a IT PROGRAM MANAGER (PLCYPLN) in the PROGRAM AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT DEPT of NAVWARSYSCEN ATLANTIC CHARLESTON SC.
Duties
You will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for risk and schedule management for NIWC Atlantic.
You will lead and manage Command risk and schedule initiatives pertaining to information technology projects.
You will recommend risk and schedule approaches for stakeholders executing major programs, systems development efforts, and research or technology initiatives.
You will mentor stakeholders both internal and external organization stakeholders to achieve a cohesive understanding of risk and schedule management functions.
You will lead and direct the work of others of equivalent, higher or lower grades to produce and deliver quality risk and schedule management support and services to information technology projects (can include direct or internal projects).
You will focus on the efficient and effective use of competency practices, tools and processes, and continuous process improvement.
You will serve as the IRM lead for the command, with interactions at the NAVWAR level for cohesiveness in execution.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final TOP SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 801 level Entry/ Apprentice within 12 months of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NO-05 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Lead/manage risk and schedule management including analyzing, problem solving, formulating, and guiding the approach for information technology program execution. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
