Duties
Serves as subject matter expert for real estate acquisition and Uniform Relocation Assistance Act relocations.
Negotiates complex land acquisition and leasing actions.
Applies principles, methods and tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, evaluating and managing project resources and schedules.
Influences, motivate and challenges others; adapts leadership styles to a variety of situations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The duties of this position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver’s License.
- The duties of this position requires Travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Serving in a realty specialist role or related position providing real estate technical expertise of principles, policies and methodologies in managing government real estate functions such as planning, acquisition, URA relocations, mapping, appraisal, disposal, leases, easements, outgrants, licenses, or permits; 2) Managing project workload, schedule and budgets; and 3) Reviewing, interpreting, and providing guidance on real estate issues, policies, and changes impacting real estate management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
