About the Position: As a Supervisor in the Military Projects Branch, oversees a staff of approximately seven realty specialists who perform duties in support of processing and coordinating all acquisition, property management, and disposal actions to support military installations and various Department of Defense agencies.
Duties
Manages staff of subordinate Realty Specialists in Military Program planning, administering, executing assigned programs and providing advice and guidance as necessary on proper execution.
Provides administration/oversight on acquisitions, in-leases, concession leases, and out-grants on civil and/or military installations and projects, including the evaluation of initial economic feasibility.
Reviews compliance inspections and reports of out-grants at civil works projects or at military installations for competency and accuracy.
Administers feedback and potential solutions for resolution of non-compliant issues to subordinates.
Assists in compilation and submission of budgets to exterior customers and other federal agencies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The duties of this position require Travel up to approximately 25% of the time.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver’s License.
- The duties of this position require a Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the OPM General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the federal service which includes: 1). Performing routine and complex realty transactions. 2). Responding to verbal and written inquiries concerning real estate. 3). Practical and advance knowledge of appraisal, legal and real estate contracts, principles and practices.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
