This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain DoD Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties
Serves as the US Army Garrison, Hawaii (USAG-HI)/US Army Hawaii (USARHAW) National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Program Manager, Conservation Branch, Environmental Division, Directorate of Public Works (DPW)
Responsible for the development, establishment, and administration of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) program, to include long range work plans and schedules that implement the goals and objectives of the environmental plan.
Provides expert professional technical advice to the Environmental Division and Command Group on matters related to environmental protection and abatement, particularly as these relate to training issues.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent shall be required to have a valid Hawaii State Drivers License.
- Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) of 10% is required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning and administering an environmental program which includes licensing and permitting requirements and identifying training requirements; and advising management and operating officials on Environmental Compliance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
