Duties
Position will perform faculty duties in the Athletics Department as the Head Coach for the USAFA Boxing program and serve as the Lead for the undergraduate Physical Education Boxing courses. Additionally, incumbent will lead, manage and coach the competitive boxing program through direct observation and instruction of cadet-athletes. Other duties such as perform assigned departmental duties, promote professional activities in area of athletic specialization (boxing) and design course curriculum will be assigned.

- The salary shown is the minimum (Annual) amount to be paid and may be set higher commensurate with individual's qualifications and experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum requirement is a Bachelor's Degree and demonstrated experience and proficiency in the primary field of specialization - Boxing

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates will be those that have demonstrated at least 3 years of currency and excellence at the National Collegiate Boxing Association (NCBA) Boxing level, equivalent professional or Olympic level. Candidate should hold a USA Boxing Silver or higher level Coaching Certificate. Essential qualities expected of every department member include the personal attributes of integrity, industry, cooperation, initiative, and organizational management. Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to coaching and teaching along with demonstrated excellence in these areas.
Candidates will have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching.
Leadership experience in curriculum development and academic assessment is desired.
Applicants will be assessed based on education, evidence of teaching effectiveness, quality of scholarship, and demonstrated service to educational institutions and the discipline commensurate with years in the discipline.

EDUCATION:

FOREIGN EDUCATION:
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the educational requirements. However, you must show proof that the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in a conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying in the form of an "official" statement of U.S. equivalency from a Department of Education approved (non-federal) agency (i.e. AICE, NACES), who will complete a U.S. Standard of Education Conversion.
