Duties
Major Duties of the Position:
To serve as the Deputy to the CAStLE Center Director as well as the senior technical expert, performing engineering and contract program management leadership duties in support of critical DoD weapon system sustainment research program while leading a team of engineers and staff from a variety of disciplines on complex multi-phase projects. The incumbent is authorized to make executive decisions for the Director in all areas of functional responsibility; represents the Director at meetings, conferences, official functions, and community events; and when acting as the senior official in the absence of the Director, possesses the same authority and prerogatives, excluding UCMJ authority which is vested in military officers only.

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must hold a Master's degree or higher in CAStLE mission-relevant engineering or scientific field. Must be able to acquire and maintain the appropriate security clearance.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 10 years of relevant professional experience.

FOREIGN EDUCATION:
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the educational requirements.
