You will serve as a PRODUCTION MACHINERY MECHANIC LEADER in the Plant Equipment Maintenance Division of the Facilities Infrastructure Management Department, FRCSW, North Island, California

Duties

You will perform as a working leader of a group of non-supervisory employees in the Plant Equipment Maintenance Branch. You will coordinate the efforts of the maintenance team as well as provide technical assistance and effect repairs to equipment. You will be responsible for meeting completion dates, anticipating problem areas, writing status reports and promoting liaison between Production Department and Production Engineering Department groups. You will assist in the training efforts as required for maintenance personnel in the theory of operation and troubleshooting techniques for various systems.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE A) Have the ability to lead/supervise others who perform the most difficult and complex tasks including: Articulating knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic theory, and their industrial applications; Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex machinery problems and providing technical guidance; Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards; Utilizing a variety of general mechanical test equipment verifying their functionality and efficiency; and operating special support equipment associated with the systems and machines. B) Have the ability to lead/supervise others who perform the full range of {trade} tasks including: Demonstrating knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic theory, and their industrial applications; Diagnosing and troubleshooting a full range of machinery problems and providing technical guidance. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards; Utilizing a variety of general mechanical test equipment verifying their functionality and efficiency; and operating special support equipment associated with the systems and machines. C) Have the ability to lead/supervise others who perform common {trade} tasks including: Demonstrating knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic theory, and their industrial applications; Diagnosing and troubleshooting common machinery problems and providing technical guidance. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards; Utilizing a variety of general mechanical test equipment verifying their functionality and efficiency; and operating special support equipment associated with the systems and machines.
