You will serve as a PRODUCTION MACHINERY MECHANIC FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will repair, maintain, install, and overhaul a variety of industrial productions machinery, equipment and facilities.
You will investigate machinery/equipment malfunctions after receiving information as to the probable nature of the problem.
You will install/relocate new and existing machinery/equipment and related components and accessories.
You will use a wide variety of hand, portable, and power actuated tools.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform common tasks including:(1) Under minimum supervision, perform a variety of installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair related activities on a range of fixed and semi-fixed mechanical equipment of varying degrees. (2) Under minimum supervision, disassemble and repair standard and numerically controlled machinery and equipment such as that used for machining, metal forming, pipe, forge, and foundry work. (3) Under minimum supervision, install, replace, adjust, and set various regulating or safety devices such as meters, gages, governs, and automatic alarms. (4) Read, interpret, and apply mechanical and electro-mechanical blueprints, drawings, schematics, and specifications. I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection.
