You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Logistics, Food Services Management Division of MSC SHIP SUPPORT UNIT GUAM.
Duties
You will provide and coordinate specialized logistics support to all Military Sealift Command (MSC) ship classes within the assigned area of responsibility (AOR).
You will provide foodservice and provisions support to MSC government-owned/Government-operated (GOGO) and/or government-owned/Contractor-operated (GOCO) ships.
You will coordinate storage, physical distribution, return, and disposal of MSC Operating Materials and Supplies (OMS) and General Equipment (GE), utilized to sustain, operate, maintain, repair, and/or alter PO1/PO2 ships.
You will ensure compliance with MSC material management processes and performance standards for material inspection, receipt, storage, and material preparation for shipment.
You will conduct review of inventory item applicability, service-ability, packaging, and preservation, provides material management guidance and directions, as required.

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.

- May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.
- You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.

- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing logistics management operations that involve planning, and coordinating foodservice/provisions to support ships afloat and ashore AND requisitioning provisions to support Expeditionary Fast Transport (EPFs) and Expeditionary Support Based (ESBs).
