You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Yokosuka (FLCY) GUAM SITE of NAVSUP FLC YOKO REG.
Duties
You will coordinate pre-deployment logistics information (e.g., meeting ships/subs upon arrival from an underway period, providing supply support training, assisting with parts ordering, material manifesting, and material turn-in).
You will generate load plans that consist of providing information on provisions and ship's store orders and delivery, as well as mail delivery.
You will facilitate and oversee non-HSP services including deliveries and transportation of fuel, cargo and mail. assist with HAZMAT/HAZWASTE delivery, offload and confirm Logistics Request (LOGREQ) requirements and submit LOGREQ replies.
You will interface with the Fleet which includes explaining procedures, discussing and resolving problems, obtaining information concerning plans, and deciding how to best accommodate future plans.
You will recommend and establish options and alternatives such as the consolidation of programs, procedures, processes, and functions.
You will provide guidance within the site to other employees and responds to inquiries, audits, and inspections concerning resource utilization.

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.

- May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:investigating, analyzing and resolving a variety of conventional supply concerns, questions, or situations to access effectiveness and efficiency of the program.

Education

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

LL.M., if related
