The primary purpose of this position is to provide policy, oversight and management of Department of the Air Force
(DAF) PSP and nomination process from the Air Force PSP Branch in the Security Enterprise Support and Policy
Division to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Executive Secretary and White House Military Office for approval of assignment to Support Duties.
Duties
Executes and enforces all operational and functional aspects of the PSP Nomination Process for the AF PSP.
Provides direct support, security expertise, guidance, training, and direction to a civilian and military work force at
specific HAF directorates, MAJ/FLDCOMs, numbered Air Forces, wings, or bases as assigned and serves as the AF
representative for related PSP issues.
Develops policy, implements, and administers the DAF PSP adjudication systems for case management.
Develops, tracks, and provides Key Performance Indicators (Metrics) on DAF PSP nominations to the Chief,
Support Branch and Chief, Security Enterprise Support and Policy Division.
Assists the Security, Special Program Oversight and Information Protection (SAF/AAZ) Directorate in support of
a broad spectrum of programs and information under the control of SAF/AA.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes: Applying knowledge of a wide range of security disciplines, concepts, principles, practices and requirements encompassed within the overall IP realm to include: PSP, Acquisition Security, Program Protection, Information Security, Industrial Security, Physical Security, Personnel Security, Personally identifiable information, Operations Security, Foreign Disclosure, and Information Assurance. Knowledge and expertise of DoD Security Programs' practices, procedures, and regulations are applicable to the performance of a full range of complex security management responsibilities.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of Personnel Security concepts, principles, and practices to review, analyze, and resolve issues.
Knowledge of required security training concepts, programs, and procedures to develop security education programs, provide training, and assist in operating security programs.
Skill in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program.
Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
Ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines. Also possess skills to develop inspection schedules and to consolidate and compile inspection trends in a report to senior leadership.
Must possess exceptional writing and briefing skills.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
