The position is located at the ANG-E; Laboratory Services Division (ANG-E1); Simulation Branch, ANG-E16 Target Generation Facility (TGF), ANG-E161. TGF's mission is to provide the aviation community with a robust simulation platform that models and simulates dynamic, real-time aircraft maneuvers in all phases of flight with realistic voice communications, pilot maneuvers, and airspace enabling the evolution of the National Airspace System for the future.
Duties
Serves as a Computer Scientist within the Laboratory Services Division, Simulation Branch, Target Generation Facility (TGF) Section ANG-E161. Determines technical requirements for meeting the mission needs of TGF. Meets with customers for project technical requirements. Works with management to prioritize technical tasks. Oversees progress of technical activities and determines risk mitigation if needed. Provides updates on activities, status, & problems to management.

At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-H, FG/GS 12. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Experience includes: Experience and technical knowledge for real-time or fast-time simulations to include the ability to design human-in-the-loop simulations for an air traffic system.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.The selecting official may decide to interview all, some or none of the candidates referred for
