Duties
The following are the duties of this position at the GS-14. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
As a Program Analyst, you will:
Represent the Regional Office Director at meetings or for assignments, as requested by the Secretary's Representative and/or State/Area Coordinators. This includes liaison with the public relations (press) officer.
Provide liaison between FHEO and other program offices at the multi-state Regional Office level, including inter-program problems and questions, which are referred from HUD field offices.
Evaluate the field offices to assess management performance and goals achievement in accordance with identified objectives and existing work measurement and performance criteria.
Serve as the Regional Office liaison between Headquarters and the Regional Office Director in developing, implementing and reporting Management Plan goals and accomplishments for FHEO activities at both the Regional Office and FHEO Center levels.
Assist the FHEO Regional Office Director in implementing HUD programs cutting across local area jurisdictions.
Qualifications

Specialized Experience: For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
-Evaluating and analyzing program issuances or protocols for their impact on fair housing and civil rights related program requirements; AND
-Interpreting and applying statutes and regulations to resolve fair housing and civil rights issues in housing; AND
-Consulting with and providing technical assistance and direct support on civil rights and fair housing requirements.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-13 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
-Utilizing and analyzing databases and spreadsheets to gather data on civil rights laws in order to perform analysis, provide advice and guidance; AND
-Interpreting and applying statutes and regulations to resolve fair housing and civil rights issues in housing.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
