This position is located within Transmission Commercial System Production Support (TSRS) organization of Transmission Commercial System Management (TSR), Transmission Marketing and Sales (TS), Transmission Services (T), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).
A successful candidate will serve as the Supervisor of Transmission Commercial System Production Support and as a member of the Transmission Commercial System Management team with oversight of critical mission and support activities .
Duties
As a Supervisory Public Utilities Specialist, you will:
Exercise delegated supervisory authorities and responsibilities, directing, coordinating, and overseeing the work and providing similar oversight of contractors when appropriate.
Represent various Transmission organizations and the BPA in regional and national forums.
Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
Ensure team-oriented, effective, harmonious, and productive formal and informal working relationships within the organization, between the organization and other organizations, and with those positions key to the effective accomplishment of BPA's business, marketing, and customer service objectives.
Give advice, counsel, and instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
Direct working relationships with Bonneville managers and staff; officials of Federal agencies, as functionally required; public and privately-owned utilities; manufacturers and providers of goods and services utilized by Bonneville; professional groups and organizations
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience in leading a project or team or serving as a technical expert in; 1) developing, implementing, and evaluating programs and policies applicable to Transmission or power utility commercial activities; OR 2) determine and allocate necessary resources, including staff and funds for utilization in support of goals, objectives and functional responsibilities; OR 3) testing, implementing and training for new or updated commercial system functionality.
