This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DOD Certain Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position:Fort Drum is located in Northern New York's picturesque North Country, offering outdoor recreational opportunities.

Duties

Provide calculations as required to design HVAC, plumbing, hydronic, or fire protection systems. Review shop drawings, samples and material certifications. Develop detailed job plans, material and equipment specifications, and cost/time estimates for projects in various mechanical classifications.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This is a Term position scheduled NTE 4 years. A term position may be extended to a maximum of six years depending upon the needs of management.
  • Term employment is subject to a one year trial period. Employees serving a trial period can be removed with limited appeal rights.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
