Duties

Produce news articles and feature stories, with accompanying photos, that tell the Fort Eisenhower, Gillem Enclave and Cyber Center of Excellence story, by showcasing the organization’s programs, projects, and people. Provide content of newsworthy events and activities to the Army.mil webpage, along with the Fort Eisenhower Facebook page, for publication. Conduct research and interviews. Write and edit news articles and feature stories. Copy, crop, and enhance digital images. Research and pursue opportunities to place articles in internal and external publications. Maintain the Public Affairs Office's photo archive by labeling and categorizing images appropriately.

Requirements

• This is an obligated position. You will be asked to sign an agreement acknowledging that you are aware of the obligation and willing to be displaced under reduction in force procedures upon the return of the former incumbent.
• PERMANENT ARMY EMPLOYEES ONLY: This a temporary promotion NTE 31 DEC 2024. Position may be made permanent without further competition.
• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
• Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: advertising, communications, public affairs or a related field of study. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.
