Duties
You will provide acquisition, in-service, and systems engineering services for the development, test, evaluation, installation, certification, and sustainment of Electromagnetic Special Program (EMSP) systems.
You will serve as an On-Site Installation Coordinator (OSIC) for the EMSP TEMPALT team, both leading and performing system installation, test, groom, and certification, as well as conducting shipboard system training.
You will perform system installation and removal of submarine EMSP systems.
You will provide shipboard crew training for installed EMSP systems.
You will provide test and configuration support of submarine EMSP systems.
You will provide test support and management oversight for submarine EMSP test events, to include managing a team of engineers and technicians during testing.
You will perform validation and verification testing of EMSP systems, providing test planning, test execution, technical expertise, and test reporting.
You will conduct basic concept and feasibility studies for development and testing of new or modified equipment.
You will serve as liaison to agencies and contractors for equipment development, integration, installation, training, and development of technical data for procurement descriptions.
You will review, analyze and correct Fleet Casualty Reports (CASREPS).
You will provide project support in performance specification development of submarine EMSP.
You will conduct system performance assessment and analysis of EMSP systems.
You will perform fabrication, integration, and testing of EMSP systems.
You will develop and update system test procedures and training materials.
You will support EMSP equipment Information Assurance (IA) certification teams.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain Electronic Key Mangaement System (EKMS) qualification.
- This is a bargaining unit position
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 pay band (GS-9/10 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a wide range of engineering methods, techniques, and principles to develop, install, test, and evaluate electronic or electromagnetic systems for a warfare program.
