You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Command Operations Department of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
Duties
You will assist the Security Manager in the coordination and management of the Security Clearance Program.
You will provide assistance to units to upgrade security by conducting surveys and/or inspections to determine if accounting and control procedures in use are adequate.
You will advise security manager and designed Contracting Officer's Security Representative (COSR) of recommendations for proper course of action.
Requirements

- You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Apply appropriate DOD regulations regarding the type of Personnel Security Investigation required; 2. Provide guidance in the preparation of the Electronic questionnaire Investigation Processing Direct (EQIP-Direct) and all associated documents for submission by assigned personnel as appropriate; 3. Evaluate all available information and make a personnel security determination as to whether or not an interim or final security clearance access shall be granted; 4. Prepare necessary reports, investigative packets and maintains personnel security clearance records. 5. Works closely with the Command Security Manager and the Human Resource Office as well as upper management. 6. Completes pre-employment security screenings in the Civilian Workflow Automated Tool (CWA). 7. Provide technical advise to FRCSE project managers, acquisitions personnel in regards to DOD and DON Personnel Security regulations; 8. Maintain the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS)/DISS security clearance tracking system and provides policy and guidance at lower echelon commands on established rules and national security policy; 9. Assist the Security Manager with in the inventory of classified material and all GSA safes/ containers for the command; 10. Processes Foreign Visit Requests through the Foreign Visit Request (FVR) System and interacts with the Navy International Program Office.

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
