About the Position: This position is located with the 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Supply & Services Division, Fort Stewart, GA. Duties

Groups materials according to receiving vouchers and subgroups as necessary. Verifies items received against shipping documents. Issues and/or receives a variety of items for individual service members or designated users. Uses automated materials handling equipment such as mechanized platform lifters, stock selectors, conveyers etc Operates electrical, gasoline, or diesel-powered forklift in order to lift loads weighing up to 10,000 pounds.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires incumbent to possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
• This position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a forklift license within 6 month of employment.
• This position requires a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Background Investigation.
• This position requires a pre-employment physical and annual physical thereafter.
• This position may require Temporary Duty Travel up to 10% of the time.

Materials handlers are regularly exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises, abrasions, falls, and injury from falling stock, or mechanized work areas. Subject to injury while operating forklift or from mechanical conveyor systems. Employee may be required to wear safety equipment, which is often hot and uncomfortable. Must meet all physical requirements to work in confined areas while reaching/pulling/placing stocks in racks in awkward positions.
