You will serve as a Supv Social Worker/ Psychologist in the BEHAVIORAL HEALTH BRANCH of HQTSBATTALION.
Duties
You will plan, implement, and evaluate the Substance Abuse Counseling Center (SACC) alcohol and drug abuse/dependence screening, assessment, and case management programs.
You will supervise development and implementation of a comprehensive substance abuse prevention plan for the installations supported by Henderson Hall.
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting and adjusting short-term priorities and preparing schedules for completion of work.
You will ensure that HQMC Program Certification requirements are met.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is a TIER THREE clinical care practitioner with clinical supervisor eligibility. Applicants must meet all of the following requirements as outlined in SECNAVINST 1754.8. (SEE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION)
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This position requires Certification in substance abuse (Alcohol and Drug Counselor II or state equivalent) is required at time of hire.
- Current certification in Substance Abuse (USNCB Alcohol and Drug Counselor II or state equivalent) is required at time of hire. Must provide a photocopy of certification with application.
- Must have engaged in at least two years post licensure, that includes at least 2,000 hours post licensure or 4,000 hours post graduate degree, full-time clinical experience in a clinical setting.
- Two of these years must include documented post-licensure clinical experience in substance use disorder treatment.
- Must have at least 2 years of post-licensure experience as a clinical supervisor of professional clinical providers.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: being responsible for independently overseeing the day-to-day operations of the installation's substance abuse program. Plans, implements, and evaluates the Substance Abuse Counseling Center's (SACC) alcohol and drug abuse/dependence screening/assessment, treatment & case management programs. Develops and implements a comprehensive substance abuse prevention plan for the installation and tenant organizations.

Degree: major or equivalent in psychology for all specializations except clinical psychology and counseling psychology. These two specializations have additional educational requirements, as stated below:
- Clinical psychology: For positions at grades GS-11 and above, satisfactory completion of all the requirements for the doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology is required.
- Counseling psychology: For positions at grades GS-9 and above, satisfactory completion of 2 full academic years of graduate study directly related to professional work in counseling psychology, or satisfactory completion in an accredited educational institution of all the requirements for a master's degree directly related to counseling psychology is required.
0185:
Degree: social work. Must fulfill all of the requirements for the master's degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
Master's degree with practicum: Applicants who complete all of the requirements for a master's degree in social work that included a practicum are eligible for GS-9.
