This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, planning and support staff. As a management analyst, you will provide expert financial, administrative, management, and program analysis services for the office, aiding the Chief of Staff in the performance of their duties.
Duties
As a MANAGEMENT ANALYST, you will:
Develop and monitor procedures and systems for establishing, operating, and assessing the effectiveness of administrative control systems and line or operating programs.
Recommend improved procedures and controls, both internal and external, to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse.
Analyze, interpret, and apply NARA directives and guidance, and develop supplemental guidance and instructions for use by S personnel.
Oversee the development of the operating program budget and monitor expending funds for operations.
Communicate directly with pertinent staff within and outside the Office to prepare budgets, execute requirements and available resources, and resolve problems.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
To be qualified for this position at the GS-13 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level and experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Assisting with development of reporting requirements for budget analysis, budgetary controls and financial planning; AND
Providing guidance on financial, travel, and procurement systems; AND
Experience with the principles and practices of Federal budgeting, financial management, procurement and human capital management for a large, complex organization consisting of multiple programs and funding accounts.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12level for 52 weeks.
