About the Position: As a Program Manager you will utilize your knowledge of engineering and engineering practices, program management, and personnel management; serves as Chief, Plant Maintenance Section, Plant Branch. Supervises the activities of employees who maintain, repair, and improve the floating plant, associated equipment, and facilities assigned to the Navigation Division, Portland District.

Duties

Establishes project scope and criteria, schedules and milestones, budgets, dependencies, and responsibilities of the participating parties. Reviews project progress, measuring performance and taking necessary corrective actions to maintain agreed upon schedule and cost. Reviews and approves, within authorities provided, project cost and schedule changes. Manages the Facilities, Equipment and Maintenance (FEM) system. Manages long range (5 year) and short range (1 Year) planning, scheduling, and budget. Maintains up-to-date as-built technical drawings for all Navigation vessels. Manages the Nuclear Testing Program for the dredges.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: LeadershipOral CommunicationPlanning and EvaluatingProject ManagementWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-???????12).
