Duties
Additional Information:
Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work from approximately March to December, and you will be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year.
Major Duties:
Performs a variety of duties of general nature in the routine operations, maintenance, and minor repairs of structures, utilities electrical and plumbing components, campgrounds, picnic areas, and visitor centers.
Cleans restrooms, comfort stations, offices, shops, and other public use areas. Provides janitorial services as well as effecting repairs such as unplugging toilets, replacing washers, and minor repairs to surfaces such as walls, floors, and partitions.
Performs general grounds maintenance utilizing push mowers, weedeaters, riding mower, and all terrain vehicles. Cleans and repairs grills and tables, collects and disposes of trash and litter, rebuilds tent pads, and does minor sign repair.
Required to render moderate to heavy assistance at times to other buildings operations. Work would include snow removal around facilities, storm cleanup, painting, utility work, and assisting journeyman level employees in completing maintenance projects.
Operates light automotive equipment, Lawn care equipment, shop tools, and power tools.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:
Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision (SCREEN OUT)
Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, repair, etc.
Technical practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)
Use of measuring instruments
Ability to interpret instructions, specification, etc. (includes blueprinting reading)
Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment
Knowledge of materials
