The Chief Privacy Office’s primary responsibilities to the agency is to provide expertise and oversight for privacy requirements both across the IS&P service areas as well as the enterprise. It implements accountability and continuous improvement of FAA privacy processes and programs.
Duties
The office works closely with all FAA Lines of Business (LOB) and Staff Offices (SO) to ensure and manage the delivery of privacy requirements (e.g. privacy compliance documents and assessments, privacy policy and providing training and awareness. The office currently responds to Privacy Incidents and manages the Identity Monitoring Code issuance process. It additionally oversees the handling and work loading of privacy act requests, appeals and complaints. The office also provides guidance for contractual terms involving privacy data. The office works closely with the Security Operations Center (SOC) when incidents involve privacy data.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Designated or Random Drug Testing required.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience is: Experience in preparing and reviewing privacy compliance documents, such as Privacy Threshold Assessment (PTA), Privacy Continuous Monitoring (PCM), Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA), System Disposal Assessment (SDA) and System of Record Notices (SORNs) and assessing privacy controls.Applicants should include examples of specialized experience in their work history.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.If the Agency decides to interview any qualified employee on the selection list, then all on the list who are qualified must be interviewed.
