About the position: This position will be assigned to Information Tickets and Travel and is not guaranteed a set number of hours but can be scheduled 0 - 40 hours per week.

Duties
Assists in program operation and maintenance of equipment and facilities. Special emphasis is on programs for families and family members and special groups such as retirees, singles, and private organizations. Types of duties include, but are not limited to the following: Manning the customer service desk; providing customer service, answering telephone and providing information concerning IT&T programs and activities. Sells and safeguards discount tickets to local and regional attractions such as theme parks, professional sporting events and other recreational activities. Posts announcements of scheduled activities and answers inquiries about item, place, transportation, or other matters related to activities scheduled; notifies participants of schedule changes. Maintains and updates reference materials containing sites of interest in Northwest Florida and surrounding area. Operates cash register, collects fees, makes change and issues receipts. Prepares daily activity reports and deposits in accordance with established accounting procedures and directives. Assists in promoting marketing strategies and advertising IT&T programs and activities. Assists in maintaining social media sites. Greets facility users and conducts facility tours. Decorates facility to reflect holiday and program themes. Reports facility repairs and maintenance requirements according to procedures. Opens and closes IT&T office as assigned. Inspects tour buses and ensures they are clean and ready for scheduled tours. Performs as tour host as scheduled; operates 15 passenger van or smaller for local tours/excursions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position requires satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy, and a Tier 1 background investigation with favorable results.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
- Incumbent must maintain and possess a valid driver’s license.
- This position has been identified as a Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent of this position will be subject to and must consent to a pre-employment and random drug testing.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Applicant must have working experience or knowledge of recreational travel activities, such as field trips, travel excursions and arranging trips/tours to local attractions. Must have experience handling cash and use of cash accountability control methods. Must have experience using common software such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must possess skill in working with the public. Must possess, and maintain, a valid state drivers' license. Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays to support the mission. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
