This position is in the Office of Information Technology, Executive Office, Environment and Natural Resources Division. The incumbent serves as the Chief Information Officer responsible for overseeing the full scope of the Division's information technology systems nationally. Implements cybersecurity instruments and manages the Division's IT security program with responsibility for planning and directing IT staff, managing the IT budget, and representing the Division in government-wide meetings.

Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-15: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-14 Federal grade level developing and implementing IT security policies, procedures, and operations for an organization.
Examples of relevant experience include: overseeing IT specialists responsible for assessing hardware, software, and cloud environments for compliance with IT security requirements; analyzing federal IT security regulations and integrating them into organizational activities; or overseeing IT security contracts and ensuring the effective utilization of organizational resources.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skill and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time in Grade: Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements (one year at the next lower grade) by the closing date of announcement.
