You will serve as a Production Controller Leader in the Maintenance Center Albany of MAINTENANCE CENTER ALBANY.

Duties

You will perform team leader duties for coordinating and instructing assigned team members as to requirements of assigned project(s). You will distribute and balance workload among team members in order to advise management of status and progress of project. You will provide on-the-job training to newly assigned team members if necessary. You will conduct and/or coordinates the detailed analysis and study of the Team's workload objectives. You will provide guidance to the overall management, workload direction, and accountability of the Maintenance Center's workload. You will review and study technical source documentation, contractual requirements, Memorandums of Agreement (MOA), Requests for Proposal (RFP), Statements of Work (SOW), and specification requirements. You will review SOW's, MOA's, RFP's, and other contractual documents for workload.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • This position requires which requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position. I am willing and able to submit to a SCHR check.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: ability to utilize shop floor scheduling and material management systems; knowledge of the production process used within a remanufacturing environment.
