Duties
The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
As a Management Analyst, you will:
Provide administrative and management advice and assistance to managers, supervisors and employees on matters pertaining to human resources, travel, training, time and attendance, equipment, supplies, office space, telecommunications, general logistics support and the government credit card program.
Develop, maintain and update process and procedure manuals on activities, ensuring that all Ginnie Mae staff are trained to comply with governing rules and regulations.
Prepare, analyze and evaluate manpower, administrative and cost studies, evaluate opportunities for improvements in management systems; present advice and recommendations for review and implementation.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience:
For the GS-13, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Proposing new or modified program policies, regulations, goals or objectives for use in the management and direction of programs; AND
- Serving as a liaison between offices in coordinating information, rules, directives, and reports for review; AND
- Conducting studies or reviews relevant to organizational goals and objectives; AND
- Developing and implementing procedures or systems for establishing operations.
For the GS-12: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Researching and investigating new or improved business and management practices for application to program or operation; AND
- Proposing new or modified program policies, regulations, goals or objectives for use in the management and direction of programs; AND
- Serving as a liaison between offices in coordinating information, rules, directives, and reports for review.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
For the GS-12 you must have been at the GS-11 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
