Duties

You will serve as the Chief, S-1 section responsible for military and civilian personnel management. You will provide guidance, oversight, and/or administrative support throughout the Brigade. You will provide technical advice and guidance to the Brigade regarding essential personnel services for assigned military personnel. You will advise the Commander and staff on the status of personnel management and administrative requirements needed in support of current and future operations. You will serve as a technical advisor to the Commander and staff on manpower, personnel management, and administrative requirements.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel approximately 25% of the time.
  • Position requires a valid driver’s license.
  • This position is designated as Mission Essential (ME).
  • The position is needed to ensure facility operations in support of Continuity of Operations Programs (COOP) and/or performance of duties and completion of tasks that are mission essential functions of the organization.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
