This position is located in the Department of the Chief Executive Officer, Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility.
Duties
The incumbent will perform duties to include:
Provide Diversity Management briefings, presentations, and training sessions on its impacts on the Workforce.
Create, and/or present on diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility theories and models.
Execute established strategies to build and sustain a diverse workforce inclusive social environment.
Work with Communications Team to advance the agency's marketing and outreach efforts to promote an inclusive workforce.
Conduct thorough review of written and visual media for content clarity, correct grammar and punctuation, and completion.
Conduct research and extract and analyze data from various sources.
Measure the success of DEIA, EEO and Civil Rights initiatives against established key performance indicators, metrics, measures, and milestones.
Collaborate with stakeholders and the ODEIA staff to track progress and provide regular progress reports to senior leadership.
Serve as an advisor and resource to new and existing Affinity Groups, providing input and guidance on programming, budgeting, and member recruitment and retention.
Assist in developing and leading the agency's DEIA focused engagement groups including the Agency Equity Team, Diversity Advisory Council, Minority Serving Institutions workgroup, and the Affinity Group Advisory Council.
Coordinate the planning and execution of DEIA events and monthly special emphasis programs in partnership.
Provide the DEIA team with administrative support in setting up and coordinating meetings, tracking tasks and deliverables, managing DEIA goals and objectives trackers, and records management.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to, at least, the upper range of the NY-02 pay band (equivalent to the GS-09) in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully work across an organization to plan, implement, and advance Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA), Equal Employment Opportunity, and Civil Rights services and operations by conducting projects, providing training and implementing strategies and actions to promote diversity and inclusion.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps VISTA) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. if related.
