As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.This position is located in the Policy Processing Team (AJV-P130), under the Policy Support Group (AJV-P1), within the Policy Directorate (AJV-P).
Duties
The Supervisory Air Traffic Control Specialist serves as the Policy Assurance Team Manager performing a mixture of routine and complex projects/programs based on the objectives of the AJV/ATO. Directs the work of subordinate employees and/or managers for more than one organizational unit/project/program within a major subdivision. The Team Manager provides management and oversight for air traffic standards and procedures issues for service area/centers and field facilities, Air Route Traffic Control Centers (ARTCCs), Terminal Radar Approach Controls (TRACONs), and towers.

Qualifications
Candidates must have one year (52 weeks) of SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (FV-J or FG/GS-14) that is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as:Experience with the control of air traffic operations, airspace, procedures, processes, and auto systems.Experience reviewing, analyzing, and documenting the development and implementation of new or revised air traffic procedures for various air traffic directives and publications.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history. The selectee(s) may be eligible for pay retention. Career Diversity is not enhanced when an employee is assigned to a staff or supervisory position in which they previously held on a permanent basis. CEP/CP selectees will be required to certify eligibility. Pay retention is not guaranteed.Unless previously completed, the incumbent must satisfactorily complete a 1-year probationary period to remain in this supervisory or managerial position.
