You will serve as a HOUSING MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Fleet, Family Housing Department of NAVAL SUBMARINE BASE NEW LONDON.
Duties
You will plan, organize, and perform work required to ensure proper customer service and compliance with appropriate mandates of the Navy Community Service Program.
You will act as liaison with miliary families, command personnel, and their staff, ensuring personnel are assisted with repair or maintenance concerns with the private housing.
You will ensure occupancy data in the housing software program is reviewed and updated on a daily/monthly basis.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing housing facility inspection procedures and maintenance requires to identify maintenance deficiencies; 2) Briefing various levels of officials, tenants and contractors, both orally and in writing, on Public / Private Venture (PPV) issues; 3) Preparing and presenting (oral and written) recommendations and solutions regarding PPV issues based on analysis and evaluation; 4) Utilizing Housing software systems to maintain the occupancy history records; and 5) Identifying problems and deficiencies, such as tenant responsibility for damages beyond normal wear and tear; preparing and submitting appropriate documentation to support findings. Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.
