Position may be filled as a Term appointment not to exceed 1 year and 1 day. Term appointments may be extended beyond six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years.Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Term appointment will be appointed/converted into a Term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.

Duties

Communicate the status of projects to Senior Management. Report findings and status to branch chief. Conduct project studies of data, work processes, methods, procedures and other related criteria to clarify, appraise, refine, alter or improve present functional applications. Analyzes and ensure the proper balance of managed materials and resources supporting the successful execution of mission requirements. Participate in the development or changes to statement of work supporting the work effort.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
• This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
• This position requirement is to obtain and maintain a Contract Officer's Representative (COR) certificate within six (6) months of appointment.
