Duties
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications and participating in the planning and implementation of new cloud-based software applications required for the efficient operation of various business/training systems.
You will serve as an application developer and technical expert in the development and sustainment of web based applications, sites, and portals along with providing technical solutions in complex enterprise-wide networks.
You will be responsible for application design techniques that include integrating existing data environments using existing commercial interfaces or custom-designed web-based service interfaces.
You will analyze requirements and develop well-defined project plans in support of System Change Requests and projects worked by the application and cross functional teams.
You will coordinate with stakeholders, project managers, software developers, Information System Security Officer, and customers on procedures for maintaining security compliance and processing of unclassified information.
You will ensure application security is in compliance with applicable security controls and accreditation for the Authority to Operate Information Technology automation systems and networks as stipulated in federal regulations.
Requirements

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 621, SOFTWARE DEVELOPER, proficiency level INTERMEDIATE the incumbent must obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing software development support by participating in design concepts, deployment distribution and support and maintenance of applications to ensure the efficient operation and conduct of Business and Training information systems.

Education
The following education may be used to substitute specialized experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
