About the Position: This is a Project Manager, GS-0301-7/9/11 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Northwestern Division (NWD), Omaha District, Planning, Programs & Project Management Division.

Duties

Manage project contingency funds to ensure efficient and effective utilization. Monitor progress, measures performance and takes necessary corrective action to maintain agreed-upon schedule and cost. Allocate project funds to District elements, consistent with progress attained, and measures and monitors performance to assure that commitments of all parties are being maintained. Coordinate planning, design, cost-engineering, construction and environmental restoration, etc., for projects of substantial scope and complexity. Participate in District programming decisions affecting long- and short-range courses of action for assigned projects. Assure the overall management, control, coordination and execution of assigned projects. Serve as a Life-Cycle Project Manager, with overall responsibility for planning, scope, development, design, construction, environmental remediation, and direction of important civil works/military projects.
