Duties
To perform faculty duties in the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) Preparatory School Athletics and Academic Departments. Incumbent will teach courses in physical education, strength and conditioning and manage and instruct competitive athletic programs. Incumbent will also perform assigned departmental duties, promote professional activities in area of athletic specialization, and participate in course and curriculum development. The incumbent will evaluate performance, leadership, and officer potential of over 230 Preparatory School cadet candidates and advise students in a classroom environment and one-on-one basis to enhance their academic potential and study skills. The incumbent will serve in auxiliary unit positions as determined by the Commander, Athletic Director, Academic Dean, and/or department head; be willing to participate in the military training and physical conditioning activities of the cadet candidates; conduct research; and promote professional activities.

- The selected candidate will be subject to a security investigation leading to successful completion of a background investigation with a favorable adjudication. The selectee's failure to meet this requirement will be grounds for termination.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: At a minimum, candidates must possess: 1) an earned Bachelor's degree and three years of successfull full-time coaching experience in collegiate or high school football. Coaching experience to include: creating schedules, on field instruction, recruiting prospective athletes, tracking of team activities compliance, budget management, and coordinating rehabilitiation protocols for injured student athletes. Demonstrated priority of ensuring success of the student-athlete experience. All candidates must show potential for excellence in instructing physical education, professional coaching, and service.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Current CSCS credentials. Five years of successful full-time collegiate coaching experience in football at the post graduate, Service Academy Prep School, or collegiate level. Current certifications in CPR, AED, and first aid.
Candidates will have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching.
Leadership experience in curriculum development and academic assessment is desired.
Applicants will be assessed based on education, evidence of teaching effectiveness, quality of scholarship, and demonstrated service to educational institutions and the discipline commensurate with years in the discipline.

FOREIGN EDUCATION:
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the educational requirements. However, you must show proof that the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in a conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying in the form of an "official" statement of U.S. equivalency from a Department of Education approved (non-federal) agency (i.e. AICE, NACES), who will complete a U.S. Standard of Education Conversion.
